About Wolves
Howling Wolf Consulting Services
Wolves once lived throughout the world. Now, their
territorial range has been reduced to just a handful of
areas, and wolves are in danger of extinction.

The dog (canis lupus familiaris) is often said to be
man's best friend, and biologists have now established
that all breeds of dog have ultimately descended from
wolves. Yet, despite this close kinship of the wolf to
man's best friend, man continues to hunt, kill and
exterminate the wolf. One commentator suggested
that part of the reason for this is that, when looking at
the wolf, we see ourselves -- with all of our strengths
and all of our weaknesses -- magnified.
Whatever the reasons for this anti-wolf bigotry, it is time that it be stopped. Despite the distance that
wolves have traditionally kept from human activity, and the aloofness that wolves typically show
toward human activities, wolves have played a significant role in human history, and deserve to be
preserved. Similarly, as one of the most beautiful testimonies to the glory of God's creation, they
deserve to survive and prosper rather than face extinction.
